SUMMARY:
Large Hotel in Bantry Bay is looking for an experienced Commercial Assistant.

The Commercial Assistant’s key role is to keep the Sales and Commercial department running smoothly and assist the Sales & Commercial teams.

This role is to provide administrative and operational support to a commercial team or manager. You will handle a variety of tasks to ensure the team can focus on strategic initiatives, business development and revenue growth. This role often involves tasks like managing leads, preparing quotes, following up on orders, handling complaints and liaising with other departments.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:

Provide admin and office support to the Sales team or Commercial team.
Ensuring the Sales and Commercial Share drives are updated
Updating of all market segment databases
Updating of databases for Marketing
Organize tradeshows and events
Coordinate site inspections and client events
Coordinate and facilitate the sending of agreed STO rates and corporate contracts and uploading to Opera Cloud and Sales Drive
Submitting RFP’s in Lanyon and Cvent
Taking and distributing of minutes of meetings
Ordering gifting and supplies for sales team
Assisting with reservations for VIP’s and Barter agreements
Build and maintain effective relationships with guests, clients and internal teams
Assisting sales in following up on pipeline items
Updating images of hotel on online platforms
Assisting events with event enquiries
Contacting events and groups from the year before
Revenue related tasks such as compiling of data, creating graphs and assist in creating presentations

Requirements:

Grade 12
A formal qualification
Experience as a Sales Coordinator, Senior Reservations/Events Coordinator, Marketing Coordinator or in a Revenue role
Disciplined and able to multitask.
Charismatic with sound judgement.
Proactive problem solver.
A People’s person; good with guests and clients.
Able to act decisively and quickly when necessary
Professional.
Honest
Fluent in English
Strong in sales and building relationships with clients
Strong Business Acumen
Good working knowledge of administrative software like Opera, Lanyon, Revinate and
Microsoft Excel, Power Point and MS Word.
