Commercial Collateral Inspection and Risk Officer

SUMMARY:
Our client, a home-grown South African financial services group specialising in SME funding solutions (cash flow, asset finance, and trade finance), is looking for a sharp, hands-on Commercial Collateral Inspection & Risk Officer to join their Credit team. You'll be the eyes and ears on the ground visiting client premises, verifying that the stock, machinery, and equipment securing lending facilities actually exist, are in good condition, and match what's on the books. Reporting to the Head of Credit, you'll play a key role in protecting the company's security position and flagging emerging risk before it becomes a problem

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities : Conduct scheduled and ad hoc site inspections of financed stock, equipment, machinery and property Perform stock counts, verify serial numbers, and check asset condition and location Review client stock management systems, write-off policies, and trading conditions Confirm supplier terms and assess whether cash flow supports repayment Write clear, photo-documented inspection reports and submit monthly monitoring reports Escalate collateral deficiencies or covenant breaches immediately Support the Head of Credit with risk-based inspections and special investigations Liaise across Sales, Credit, Legal and Collections on inspection findings Mandatory Experience & Skills Relevant qualification 3 - 5 years experience Strong analytical, investigative and commercial risk assessment skills Excel and Word skills High integrity - you'll be protecting the company's financial interests Should you meet the above requirements, please upload your CV to our website [CVS VIA EMAIL WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED] All suitably qualified candidates are encouraged to apply and will be considered.
