JOB SUMMARY:
This individual is responsible for providing accurate and timely legal advice to the Board and Management on a variety of legal topics including but not limited to standard construction agreements such as FIDIC, NEC, JBCC and variations thereof.
Responsibilities include researching and evaluating different risk factors and offering proactive advice on possible legal issues.
The successful candidate will maintain current knowledge of laws and will regularly monitor and ensure the company’s compliance with local laws in the context of the complex construction environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in law or a subject related to commerce.
At least 5 years' experience in a management position.

REQUIREMENTS

Draft, review, edit, interpret and negotiate agreements and other legal documents in a timely manner and advising management on potential risks
Research and report on unique legal issues impacting the business
Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the business
Serve as liaison between the Company and external attorneys
Exemplary writing and editing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and the Internet
Excellent communication and analytical skills in both written and spoken English
Discretion in handling confidential matters
Excellent judgment and ability to anticipate legal issues or risks
Manage all aspects of litigation or alternative dispute resolution including mediation, conciliation and arbitration.
