Our client, a historic Stellenbosch wine estate known for regenerative farming, heritage preservation, luxury hospitality, and culinary excellence is seeking a Commis Chef to join their culinary team at a wine estate renowned for its commitment to sustainability, terroir-driven cuisine, and a farm-to-table philosophy.

POSITION INFO:
What You’ll Do:

- Assist senior chefs with daily prep and service in a kitchen that champions seasonal, locally sourced ingredients

- Learn and apply sustainable kitchen practices, including minimal waste and nose-to-tail usage

- Uphold the highest hygiene and food safety standards

- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and growth-oriented kitchen culture

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

- 2+ years formal training in a professional kitchen (fine dining or farm-to-fork a plus)

- Passion for sustainability, heritage cooking, and ingredient integrity

- Eager to learn, shows initiative, and thrives in a team setting

- Maintains composure under pressure and takes pride in the details

- Committed to growth, respect, and excellence in every task
