Our client, is a legal entity providing advice to international and local clients on day-to-day operations, local and cross border transactions and a multitude of complex issues spanning various industries.

An exciting opportunity has now arisen to join this established company, on a full-time basis as a Compliance Executive.

The chosen candidate will work with the Compliance Officer to ensure that the firm and all group companies conduct their business in full compliance with all relevant national and international laws and regulations.

MAIN RESPONIBILITIES:

Implementing an effective regulatory compliance program;
Proactively auditing processes, practices and documents;
Planning and directing internal cross-departmental policies and programs to empower staff with the knowledge, awareness and good practices of regulatory compliance;
Monitoring regulatory and legislative developments;
Screen and approve website content and promotions;
Assist with regulatory audits and annual statutory audits;
Track laws and regulations that may affect the firm and/or the group companies with a view of implementing the necessary changes to internal policies in order to manage and mitigate risk exposures.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of Maltese and European Anti-Money Laundering legislation would be ideal
Minimum of one to two years-experience in a similar or related role. However, candidates with less experience may also be considered for the role should you demonstrate competence, integrity and willingness to learn;
Strong organizational skills;
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills;
