SUMMARY:
Compliance Officer
POSITION INFO:
Ensure all operational employees are licenced where so required
Ensure that all business licenses are obtained from the respective gambling boards and maintained where so required
Ensure strict compliance with all Gambling Board Legislation, the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA), Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and company policies and procedures in the respective departments
Develop compliance assessment programs per department, write-up thorough accurate assessment audits and take prompt corrective action where required
Follow correct procedures to ensure required approvals for betting equipment and processes where so required through betting legislation
Build a good relationship with the Gambling Boards through regular and prompt communications
Provide guidance to other departments in terms of regulatory requirements
Work as part of a team or individually to deliver high quality
Essential pre-requisites:
Matric (NQF 4), recent graduate or studying towards a Legal/Risk qualification
Minimum two years’ experience in auditing or adequate demonstrable proficiency thereof plus experience resolving compliance matters
