SUMMARY:
Our client, a respected leader in the hospitality and gambling industry, is looking for skilled and motivated Compliance Officers to join their growing team.
This role is critical in ensuring that all operations run smoothly and in full compliance with gambling regulations and relevant legislation.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all operational employees are correctly licensed where required
- Secure and maintain all necessary business licenses from the relevant Gambling Boards
- Enforce full compliance with Gambling Board legislation, FICA, POPIA, and internal policies and procedures
- Develop and implement departmental compliance assessment programs
- Conduct thorough and accurate audit assessments and initiate corrective action when necessary
- Manage approval processes for betting equipment and procedures in accordance with legislation
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with Gambling Boards through consistent communication
- Offer guidance to internal departments on regulatory compliance requirements
- Work independently or collaboratively to deliver consistently high-quality standards
Minimum Requirements:- Matric (NQF Level 4)
- A recent graduate or currently studying towards a Legal or Risk qualification
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in auditing or strong demonstrable auditing proficiency
- Proven experience in resolving compliance matters
