SUMMARY:
Our Client is currently seeking a Compliance Officer who will be ensuring that the Company complies with its outside regulatory and legal requirements as well as internal policies and by laws (Standard Operating Procedures).

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 or relevant N level qualification
  • 5 – 8years relevant experience in related field / activities
  • Minimum 3-years’ experience in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Excel (Expert)
  • Operational Agility
  • Risk assessment capabilities
  • Improvement of business processes
  • Strategic Planning
  • Effective Problem-solving
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to apply rules to real-life facts
  • Ability to work as part of a team

 

DUTIES INCLUDE

  • Developing, implementing and managing compliance program.
  • Evaluating /auditing, developing and implementing of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Planning, implementing and overseeing risk-related programs
  • Routine and Occasional inspections and audits of all areas in the plants required to sustain operational effectiveness;
  • Creating and coordinating proper reporting channels for compliance issues.
  • Internal audits to be done as prescribed by the internal audit schedule. Must participate on the improvements of the internal audit plan
  • Report inspections and audit feedback on a daily basis to the Support and Co-ordination Director.
  • Developing company compliance communications
  • Coordinating and scheduling required compliance training for employees monthly.
  • Report immediately on any environmental and health risks.
  • Report immediately on any hazards which may lead to downtime and or shutdown of production.
  • Ensure all regulatory requirements, standards, company systems, procedures and policies are met in all actions on company premises.
  • Maintain safe work environment by ensuring all pre inspections and safety checks are done, all machine or electrically operated machinery are locked out and relevant permits are obtained (where required in case of hazardous tasks) before commencement of any job or task.
  • Upon completion ensure relevant safety and quality checks are conducted and signed off by relevant parties
