Compliance Officer

SUMMARY:
In search of an immaculate, structured Compliance Officer. Must have experience with ISO as well as in depth understanding of POPI and PAIA. This position is based in Bryanston.

Experience
 
- Previous work history in similar environment of at least three to five years
- Knowledge and understanding of compliance standards and policies, audit techniques, regulatory issues.
- Experience in ISO27001 and ISO22301 (implementation as well as management)
- Related degree or diploma in law, finance, business management or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain the company’s compliance program
- Develop company compliance communications
- Organise regular training sessions for employees to communicate key regulatory changes and updates.
- Ensure the company functions in a legal and ethical manner whilst meeting its business goals.
- Assume responsibility for South African regulatory compliance
- Ensure continual monitoring and review of compliance procedures to help identify possible areas where improvement could be made.
- Advise management on the company’s compliance with laws and regulations by means of reporting
- Work with managers to ensure appropriate contingency plans are in place that set guidelines on how to respond to a possible compliance breach
- Continual self-development and learning in order to stay up to date with relevant legislation and regulations
