SUMMARY:
Our client in the Public Telecommunications Sector has an opportunity available for a Compliance Officer to be based in the Sandton area. This will be a temp position for 6 months.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

B. Degree in Law
Compliance related post graduate qualification preferably
Training in corporate governance and business administration
5 years’ minimum relevant experience in a State-Owned Company regulatory environment
3 years’ experience within the compliance and risk environment, and 3 years’ management experience

KPAs:

Identify the compliance risks that an organizing faces and advice accordingly, and design and implement
controls e.g. Compliance Framework and Compliance Policy to protect the organization from the identified risks
Promote sound governance and compliance risk management principles within an appropriate code of conduct and fit and proper requirements
Develop and Annual Compliance Plan based on regulatory universe
Adopt and apply best practices that enable stakeholders to meet compliance requirements and manage the associated risks
