Compliance Officer

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Public Telecommunications Sector has an opportunity available for a Compliance Officer to be based in the Sandton area. This will be a temp position for 6 months.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• B. Degree in Law
• Compliance related post graduate qualification preferably
• Training in corporate governance and business administration
• 5 years’ minimum relevant experience in a State-Owned Company regulatory environment
• 3 years’ experience within the compliance and risk environment, and 3 years’ management experience

• Identify the compliance risks that an organizing faces and advice accordingly, and design and implement
  controls e.g. Compliance Framework and Compliance Policy to protect the organization from the identified risks
• Promote sound governance and compliance risk management principles within an appropriate code of conduct and fit and proper requirements
• Develop and Annual Compliance Plan based on regulatory universe
• Adopt and apply best practices that enable stakeholders to meet compliance requirements and manage the associated risks
