Compliance Officer (Government)

POSITION INFO:

Seeking an experienced and qualified Compliance Officer to join a well known government entity in JHB. 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for building inspections and audits
• Compliance monitoring 
• Ensure company investment is not in jeopardy
• Reporting non-compliance
• Conduct compliance awareness training 
• Drafting compliance reports
• Sit in on Bid committees
• Attend Board meetings
• Complaints management
• Stakeholder engagement and management 

Non-negotiables:

• Relevant degree - Law or Commerce
• Compliance management post grad is a PLUS
• Previous work experience within regulatory environment of 5 - 10 years' - regulatory / auditing 
• Property management / building / human settlement / housing experience
• Excel - advanced
• Should have strong analytical skills
• Excellent English communication
• Great report writing skills
• Strong legal research and interpretation skills
