POSITION INFO:
Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATS) Auditor – Pretoria – Medical Scheme
Under the leadership of ICT Audit Manager, Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATS) Auditor will be responsible for:
ü The script development for Internal Audit data mining activities, development and implementation of a continuous CAATS auditing programme, analysis, investigation and reporting of the results.
KPAs
ü Support the internal audit team by identifying areas where CAATS could be utilised;
ü Consult with internal audit teams to define data requirements;
ü Develop scripts for data mining;
ü Manage audit team’s requests and tracking of progress within agreed timelines;
ü Analyse outcomes to identify trends , exceptions and areas for further investigation or enquiry;
ü Report on and communicate on analysis performed and findings;
ü Research, develop and implement a continuous CAATS auditing program;
ü Provide guidance and support relating to data analysis to other auditors and business management;
ü Manage the process of transferring tests and data to business analysts as necessary on ongoing basis;
ü Manage the internal audit data repository; and
ü Contribute in evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, aggregate and analyse low-level information to a general understanding.
Requirements
ü Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems or Information Technology;
ü At least 3 years’ practical experience in data mining and analytics (experience within the medical aid industry will be advantageous);
ü Knowledge of database design structures and query languages;
ü Experience with relevant data analytical tools in performing complex data analytics is essential, e.g. SQL, SAS, ACL, IDEA or similar;
ü IT Auditing exposure (advantageous);
ü Quality orientation;
ü Able to work with all levels of staff and management; and
ü Internal audit exposure (advantageous).
Desirable
ü Have an understanding of medical schemes industry
