Concierge

Destination Management Company based in Cape Town is looking for a Concierge to run their Concierge Service in South Africa. As a Concierge the core focus is enhancing customers local travel experience while driving loyalty & customer satisfaction.

Experience required:

Flexible enough to meet the diverse needs of in-country customers

MS Office products

Have an eye for detail and a high demand for the quality of work

Work independently and proactively look for ways to innovate/improve

Advantageous : German and or French language skills

Experience in the inbound tourism industry

Skills required:

Strong drive to deliver excellent service to customers

The ability to understand and react to customer needs

Strong conceptual way of working complemented by comprehensive know-how in the field of customer service

Proven organizational skills in managing competing priorities

Very good local knowledge of Southern Africa

Warm, authentic, and outgoing personality

Very good communication skills

Self-motivated, driven, proactive and able to work independently

Confident and friendly personality – you enjoy customer interaction

Ability to anticipate customer needs

Duties include:

Help set up reliable, efficient, and lean concierge processes that is able to assist and care for customers in country

Gather feedback, allowing company to further enhance the in-country customer experiences

Responsible for designing and implementing the concierge service quality standard following targets and objectives

Assist on-site customers in a friendly, proactive, and efficient manner with appropriate follow-up as necessary

Provide information and recommendations to customers (build an extensive knowledge base of restaurants, shops, attractions, and transportation options)

Utilize a network of contacts, service providers, and businesses to best support customers regarding excursions or special private arrangements

Ad hoc planning, organization and purchase/sale of these excursions/private arrangements
