JOB SUMMARY:
Concrete Foreman required for Cape Town Bridges and Culverts Road project. Must have firm knowledge of COLTO Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Works for South African Road Authorities

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary of this role:
Concrete Foreman

Must have firm knowledge of COLTO Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Works for South African Road Authorities
You will be reporting to a Contracts Manager and shall be supervising and managing all activities on site

Duties shall include:

Daily managing of site including all admin (costing; timesheet; ordering and working with allowables)
Programming of works and planning with the Contracts Manager
Quality control of all work on site (civil structural & building) Including all health & safety on site
Managing of all teams, experts (carpenters, shutter-hands, concrete hands and foreman and all local unskilled labours)
Setting out of all work to be constructed
Placing of concrete and finishing thereof
Work according to specification of the Client
Levelling and setting out of the shuttering
Read & interpreting of all technical drawings, steel drawings included
Calculating the amount of concrete needed on site
Knowledge of Quantity Surveying will be an advantage
Managing construction plant and diesel on site
Setting out of concrete structures
Steel fixing
Shuttering
Concrete placing
Coordinating plant
Daily safety talks
Attend site, safety meetings
Pre casting inspection checks
Managing of all construction disciplines
Excavation
Formwork erection
Design and construction of Buttress shutters
Steel fixing
Concrete batching and Placing
Joint sealing (sika combiflex)
General admin
Dewatering Building
Sludge Drying Beds
Chlorination Tank
Digester Tank
Managing Plant and Materials on site
Dealing with client and Engineers
