Construction Project Manager

SUMMARY:
My client is seeking a suitably experienced Project Manager / Implementation Support Specialist - Built environment on a fixed term contract until 31 March 2025.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant B degree, preferably in the Built-in-Environment or related field.
• Project Management qualification (PMBOK or Prince or Similar) and professional accreditation with the Project Management Institute is required.
• Registration as a Professional Construction Project Manager with the SACPCMP will be an added advantage.
• Extensive work experience as an implementation support specialist across multiple areas of government (approximately 7 - 10 years).
• Proven experience of at least 7 – 10 years in leading and supporting the implementation of multiple projects or programmes with competing deadlines and challenges.
• Strong understanding government planning cycle and processes.
• Demonstrable track record of working with high level government stakeholders.
• Good understanding of the PFMA.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the complex regulatory environments of municipalities, state-owned enterprises and other government entities in South Africa.
• Demonstrated ability to take personal responsibility for project outcomes to ensure success
• Proven exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability collaborate with other teams and lead without direct reporting relationships.
• Experience in building collaborative relationships with clients and internal contacts
• Proven ability to work well under pressure in a proactive, agile project-based environment
• Experience in working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Projects)
