Construction Surveyor (Civils – Roads & Pipework’s)

SUMMARY:
A leading civil engineering contractor delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across the Western Cape. We’re looking for an experienced Construction Surveyor to join their site team and ensure the precise execution of road, pipework, and earthworks projects. This is a hands-on site-based position – only candidates with proven civil construction surveying experience will be considered.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements

• Matric and relevant Surveying Diploma/Qualification.
• 7+ years’ site-based civil construction surveying experience (roads, pipework’s & earthworks).
• Strong working knowledge of Model Maker software for data processing & modelling.
• Proficiency in using total stations, data loggers, theodolites, dumpy levels & lasers.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, tolerances & sequencing for civils projects.

• Carry out pipe surveys using lasers, theodolites, and related instruments for accurate underground service layouts.
• Perform road & tachometric surveys ensuring precise setting out and control of works.
• Conduct earthworks surveys to monitor progress and maintain accuracy.
• Manage document & plan control, ensuring construction aligns with the latest specifications.
• Measure & record quantities for monthly certificates.
• Mentor and supervise junior surveyors and site teams.
• Ensure the proper care and maintenance of all surveying instruments.
