The Role: Contact Centre Agent (B2B Sales)

As a Contact Centre Agent, you will serve as a key liaison between the company and its customers or prospects. Your responsibilities will span both customer service and business development functions, supporting the company''s UK-based operations from the Cape Town office. This hybrid role requires a mix of proactive outreach, relationship building, and service excellence to ensure customers are supported and sales targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact potential B2B prospects to schedule appointments for Directors
• Use existing data and identify new targets for outreach
• Handle inbound and outbound customer queries across phone, email, live chat, and social media
• Resolve complaints promptly and professionally
• Maintain accurate records in CRM systems of all customer interactions and sales activity
• Provide up-to-date and accurate information about services, policies, and processes
• Escalate complex issues to relevant supervisors or departments
• Meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs) and quality benchmarks
• Upsell and cross-sell services when appropriate
• Conduct customer feedback surveys to improve service delivery
• Stay informed about company updates, policies, and offerings

About You

• 2+ years of experience in customer service and/or B2B sales
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to resolve problems and remain calm under pressure
• Skilled in using CRM platforms and contact centre tools
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Capable of multitasking and prioritising in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma required; further education is a plus
• Positive, proactive, and a team player with a can-do attitude
• Willingness to work UK business hours from Cape Town
• Flexible availability (weekends and public holidays as needed)
