SUMMARY:

A supplier of laboratory equipment and consumables is seeking a Content Creator / Digital Marketing Specialist to join their growing marketing team in Midrand. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys crafting engaging content, designing visual assets, and supporting digital marketing initiatives within a scientific and technical B2B environment.

The role focuses on content creation, graphic design, and digital marketing execution, with opportunities to contribute to campaigns, social media, and multimedia content.

POSITION INFO:
The duties include, but are not limited to:

Content Creation & Graphic Design (Core Focus)

Create written and visual marketing content including emails, newsletters, presentations, brochures, blog articles, social media posts, and press releases
Design engaging layouts and graphics using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite
Ensure all content aligns with the company's brand and communicates clearly to a scientific and technical audience
Manage audience targeting & basic automation with digital and email platforms

Digital Marketing & Campaign Execution

Support and execute digital marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotions
Schedule, publish, and manage blogs, website updates and social media content across relevant platforms
Assist with email marketing, website content updates, and other digital touchpoints

Video & Multimedia Content (Bonus Skill)

Creating video content for marketing, product showcases, and social media
Edit short-form video content where required

Market Research, Analytics & Reporting

Research market trends, competitors, and customer behaviour
Monitor and analyse campaign performance and digital metrics
Compile reports and insights to support marketing decision-making

Collaboration & Coordination

Work closely with sales teams, product specialists, and management to gather content and insights
Provide organizational & admin support to the marketing team

Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Marketing Communications, Digital marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field and 2-5 years' experience in content creation and digital marketing or similar role. Experience in a scientific, technical, or B2B environment would be advantageous.

Additional Requirements: Strong writing and graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.); experience and proficiency with website platforms ( e.g., Wordpress), email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp), social media tools (LinkedIn, and basic HTML/CSS, Adobe Creative Suite); ability yo interpret and visualise complex scientific/technical information; strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects; and basic videography or video editing skills and knowledge of SEO are a bonus.
