POSITION INFO:
My client is looking to hire a Content Specialist, to lead and execute content across their marketing portfolio. This person will be responsible for transforming podcast content, brand assets, and emerging trends into engaging, platform-specific campaigns. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in both strategic planning and hands-on execution. You understand what gets attention online and more importantly, how to make it work for different audiences. Your equal parts strategist and doer, creative and organized, culturally attuned and metrics driven.
Key Responsibilities
1. Editorial Planning • Turn podcast episodes and archive material into content plans • Build weekly and seasonal content calendars • Develop rollout plans per platform (IG, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, X (Twitter). • Define and follow a clear marketing line aligned with each client’s brand pillars, tone of voice, audience, and campaign objectives • Ensure all content ideas tie back to brand strategy, messaging goals, and positioning • Lead weekly planning and recap meetings • Identify trends and insert the brand into cultural conversations in a way that feels relevant and intentional
2. Execution + Publishing • Write hooks, captions, and CTAs in each brands tone of voice • Format and schedule content across platforms using Hootsuite or similar tools • Execute tagging, mentions, hashtags, and repost strategies • Manage creative delivery within house designers, editors, and producers
3. Performance Tracking & Optimization • Track weekly engagement, reach, and retention. • Generate biweekly reports on performance and engagement. • Share key learnings, test results, and underperformance red flags • Recommend content improvements based on performance data • Track KPIs like follower growth, video views, profile visits, and engagement rates. • Share insights in weekly updates and proactively suggest strategic adjustments.
4. Cultural Monitoring • Stay on top of viral formats, memes, and creator trends • Suggest ways to adapt or remix existing content to trending formats • Tailor trend content for different industries (crypto, entrepreneurship, culture) • Track, monitor, and respond to social community channels to ensure timely response to requests, forms and content with in the omnichannel system.
5. Team Collaboration & Creative Alignment • Work closely with producers, designers, editors, reporting to the producer and project manager. • Attend weekly team syncs to discuss production goals, feedback, and pivot strategies. • Provide creative direction to ensure all deliverables match client voice and objectives.
6. Asset & Workflow Management • Maintain organized caption libraries, visual assets, and content trackers. • Ensure podcast and video uploads (RSS/YouTube/Spotify) follow optimized publishing guidelines. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) • Audience Growth Increase followers, impressions, and reach across platforms. • Engagement Metrics Boost likes, comments, shares, and saves. • Content Quality Ensure high-performing, on-brand posts across all channels. • Execution Timeliness Deliver content and campaigns on schedule. • Client Satisfaction Maintain strong feedback loops and client confidence in strategy. Required Skills & Experience
• 3+ years in social media management, content strategy, or digital marketing. • Experience managing brand or creator accounts across platforms • Strong creative instinct you know a good quote, story, or clip when you see it • Expertise in Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter/X, and YouTube. • Strong writing skills with a knack for cultural relevance and engagement. • Proficiency with tools like HootSuite and or other aggregators • Proven ability to manage calendars, multiple accounts, and high-volume content pipelines. • Analytical mindset with fluency in performance reporting and data-driven insights. • Familiarity with Google Analytics, SEO for social, and basic paid media concepts. • Fluent in English with exceptional communication skills.
