SUMMARY:
Contract DevOps Engineer for a company in Glasgow - initial six months (outside IR35) but strong likelihood of extension up to 2 years.
POSITION INFO:
DevOps Engineer required for an outside IR35 6 month contract (further extensions very likely) in Glasgow.
You must be security cleared (BPSS or SC) or willing to do if you do not already have this.
Initially remote, the role may at some point require being in their Glasgow office on occasion but the majority of your time will be spent working remotely.
This role can offer up to £600 per day and is outside IR35.
You''ll be joining a DevOps team as the company undergo a significant programme of work. Day to day you will be using Kubernetes for containerisation; AWS as a cloud platform; Terraform for infrastructure development; Vault (Hashicorp) to manage account permissions and secrets and Istio service mesh to automate application network functions.
Personality-wise you will need to be confident in managing yourself, as well as coaching and encouraging the more junior folk within the business. As with most DevOps roles, you''ll be focused and interested on the best way to make processes more scalable and secure.
