SUMMARY:
Our client, a large multi-national organisation, currently seeks a Corporate Communication Manager, to contribute to delivering the company's business objectives through excellent centrally managed internal and external communication activities that engage, inspire and inform employees, building an organisational culture and company reputation overall.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Media & Communications, or similar relevant qualification.
  • Relevant Post Graduate qualification would be preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within a large multi-national organization.

Responsibilities (KPAs):

  • Lead and manage the internal communication strategies company wide.
  • Develop and co-ordinate the delivery of the annual internal communication plan.
  • Ensure an integrated and strategic internal communication approach.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the operations to ensure alignment and joined-up internal communications.
  • Drive, implement and co-ordinate campaigns that inspire, engage and inform employees.
  • Effective and proactive communication across all internal channels, growing digital channels and providing channels for feedback and ideas.
  • Manage all relevant communication channels.
  • Oversee events management - develop a strategy for & co-ordinate specific internal events.
  • Overall content oversight - able to manage agency support effectively to deliver engaging content and positive stories across platform.
  • Develop messages and position on key topics for communication activities.
  • Co-ordinate external media distribution.
  • Sign-off of key external corporate presentations and similar documents.
  • Develop corporate communication resources, e.g. corporate presentation.
  • Ensure good governance of communication systems and processes.
  • Uphold corporate identity.
  • Support and leverage company initiatives and effective co-ordination with the Group team.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Self-management and self-motivation with high level of integrity.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines, and independently under pressure.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Digitally minded and experienced with using digital internal communication platforms and systems.
  • Adopt a continuous improvement approach in their work.
  • Confident to deal independently with Senior Leaders.
  • Inspirational communication with colleagues and all employees.
  • Strong brand management experience.
  • Fluent in IsiZulu essential.
  • A background in Journalism advantageous.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
