Corporate Finance Officer

One of our major client is looking for 2 two Corporate Finance Officers to join their team.

The purpose of the corporate Finance Officer is to ensure listed companies comply with the company Listings Requirements to mitigate financial and reputational risk to the company as regulator and stock exchange

Qualification required:

• Matric (Essential)
• Degree in Accounting/Finance/ Law (Essential)
• CA(SA) (Preferred)
• 5 yearsâ?? plus experience in advising on listing requirement (Essential)

Responsibilities:

• Regulate the South African listed environment by ensuring that companies adhere to the listing requirements
• Ensure that the submission process is concluded within the necessary SLAâ??s and standards by abiding to company Listing regulations
• Provide specialist input by ensuring compliance with the listings requirements
• Provide specialist inputs by advising on the company listings Requirements, checking contents of financial reports to ensure compliance with company Listing Requirements, liaising with companies, auditors, both in writing and telephonically on a daily basis
• Provide strategic thinking and contributions to crafting of department business plan based on professional knowledge and experience, to ensure delivery of focus areas for the year in support of departmental strategy
• Contribute to crafting of business plans to ensure delivery of focus areas for the year in support of the business strategy
• Ensure system, products or projects delivered contributes to improve client/ company service by providing input on budgets, resources required and process based on the understanding of costs, business objectives and relationship with external suppliers and stakeholders.
• Apply cost effectiveness principles in planning and delivery to contribute to achievement of divisional financial targets
• Provide input into the formalisation for the divisional budget

• Understand and meet clients' needs by continuous communication with sponsors on the listings requirements
• Build sponsor relationships by communicating in a professional manner and by effectively addressing any issues that arise.
• Ensure that the listings requirements are consistently applied for all companies and corporate actions.
• Attend meetings on a daily basis to discuss companies' requests as it relates to the listings requirements. This enables all Corporate Finance Officers to provide input and in order for the Issuer regulation team to provide a consistent approach and outcome. The meeting also enables the CFO team to obtain a better understanding of the clients request and needs.
• Build networks that are of use to the company with Sponsors, audit firms and listed companies by attending functions/meetings to improve the company brand.
