JOB SUMMARY:
Midrand - Large International company is looking for a Corporate IT Operations Manager for our Midrand branch.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Responsibilities

Oversee data backup and system monitoring operations
Assess system performance & recommend improvements
Manage support to stakeholders via a help desk team
Manage contracts with clients (e.g. development platforms, telecommunication companies) and software licenses
Oversee the selection and training of qualified IT personnel to ensure an efficient team
Monitor IT infrastructure using information technology control tools and real-time reporting systems.
Manage operations of the business to ensure delivery of timely and effective services to a large client base.
Conduct regular inspections of systems to ensure efficient performance.
Assist technical staff to check and ensure resolution of all issues to achieve all objectives.
Design and maintain all IT process according to operation policies through standardization of methods.
Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee requirements, and implement changes
Define, design, and implement processes and procedures based on industry-standard
Drive root cause analysis and corrective action completion Help eliminate disruption of services and improve day-to-day operations using best practise problem analysis
Participate in technical calls for major incidents and outages
Manage the help desk, manage the data center

Technical Responsibilities and Qualifications:

BSc/BA degree in Computer Science, IT, or relevant field
Proven experience as IT Operations Manager
10+ years of relevant ITIL service management experience
Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills
Very good understanding and working experience with technology as an enabler for the business
Ability to develop projects and manage Implementations.
Demonstrate ability to deploy and/or improve new and existing services and infrastructure
Experience with system installation, configuration, and analysis
Thorough knowledge of networks and cloud computing
Knowledge of data protection operations and legislation
Ability to manage multiple projects
Outstanding communication skills
Problem-solving aptitude
Experience in running incident, request, and change management
Flexibility and ability to tackle new challenges
Extremely high level of understanding and technical understanding
Previous experience in leading Digital IT services, Digital Channels, or Solutions.
Experience in managing systems, both servers, and cloud-based.
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate the benefits of automated operations processes to both development and operations teams.
