SUMMARY:
Manufacturing division of a Multi-national group has an opportunity for a Cost and Management Accountant. Engineering manufacturing experience is preferable. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.

POSITION INFO:

The duties of the role would entail:

Set standard costs

Quarterly investigate, calculate & update standard costs in Syspro

Annually investigate, calculate & update standard costs in respect of labour, fixed and variable overheads

Amend standard costs as and when required due to new or amendment to BOM''s

Maintain BOM''s

Calculate manufacturing cost in respect of special units

Management of the stock take process

Investigate any inventory variances and allocated to appropriate accounts

Management accounting functions

Check correctness of costs of all imported items

Analyse the WIP account

Identify production variances

Monthly reconcile the Non Stock clearing account

Compile monthly Income statements and month end reports

Monthly analysis of the Purchase Price Variances (PPV)

Compile quarterly the Obsolete & Excess Inventory report

With the assistance of Directors, compile the annual budget

Ad Hoc tasks

Control new stock codes

Allocate stock codes for all new bought-out items

Allocate stock codes for all new made-in items

Manage labour allocations

Manage and monitor wastage in the production process

Enter new prices onto system

Draw up Work Instructions and SOP''s to better control the issuing and movement of stock.

Assist continuously in other areas of Syspro, information extraction, design reports, data extraction and advice on financial matters

Assist the MD to extract, collate and/or analyse reports and information as and when required.

The maintenance of BOM''s

The compiling of the monthly reports

Tertiary qualification in Cost & Management Accounting essential

CIMA advantageous

Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office and especially advanced MS Excel

In depth knowledge of a Syspro and/or a similar system.

Experience with inventory and classification essential

Previous experience in manufacturing environment (preferred if Engineering Manufacturing)

In depth knowledge of BOM''s, manufacturing processes, their cost breakdowns, labour allocations, labour recoveries and the relevant Syspro applications.
