SUMMARY:
Industrial Products Manufacturing concern, based on the East Rand has an exciting opportunity for a Cost & Management Accountant to join their team. Position requires a completed CIMA or nearing completion, with a minimum of 10 years related experience within a production / manufacturing concern. Succession planning role!

POSITION INFO:
Report directly to the Head of Finance and be responsible for overseeing staff and their daily activities. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information and transactions are recorded in the appropriate accounting and controlling records from the GL to the TB to cost centre information. Prepare and report of financial reports and production controlling reports to the Head of the Department for circulation to the Board of Management. Enforce and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, control and the access to accounting / reporting systems. Close monthly accounts for preparation of management (finance) and production (controlling) reporting; production and cost controlling reporting which includes WIP, scrap and variances; production order reporting and assisting production with BOM''s and standard costs; budgets / forecasts; manage external audits as well as internal; inventory management, valuations, stock counts planning including stock adjustments; financial and cost center accounting; calculate and maintain control over set standards and explain differences; review and approve journals / recons; imports and exports - maintain adequate foreign currency exposures and risk limitation; cashflow planning; monitor and manage capital projects and reporting thereof; staff development and more. Solid experience on SAP essential.
