SUMMARY:
Multi-national Manufacturing / Distribution concern based in Isando, has a limited duration contract immediately available for a Cost & Management Accountant. Be responsible for the correct valuation of inventory and monitoring the cost in order to ensure profitability.

POSITION INFO:

Completed B.Com / National Diploma in Accounting / Cost & Management Accounting or a CIMA with 3-5 years experience within the Distribution / Manufacturing / FMCG sector. Solid Syspro experience essential. KPI''s: Costing of shipments received, apply actual cost to receive from clearing agents; shipments to calculate FIFO cost to be used for financials; verify and approve cost received from clearing agent; inventory valuation, ensure correct valuation of inventory in various warehouses; ensure transaction costs get allocated to correct accounts; COGS; collateral, Gift with Purchase etc., investigate price variances; costing of new products, calculate landed costs of new products for marketing to determine viability of product for the customers / markets; set up the integration of inventory to the GL; month-end reporting, verify that monthly transactions are allocated correctly; report on inventory movement for the month; calculate FX impact on COGS; manage obsolescence, marking team and costing, future products costing, inter-company balances and royalty contracts; manage excise advalorem taxes; inventory forecasting; signatory on intercompany and forex payments; manage all aspects of inventory; prepare and analyse various reports and knowledge of B/S reconciliations.
