An established and growing industry leader is seeking a seasoned Cost Accountant to strengthen their finance team based in East Rand.

This permanent position is ideal for a technically proficient individual who thrives in a dynamic project-driven environment and has extensive experience overseeing financial and multicurrency project portfolios. You will be responsible for comprehensive financial management, cost oversight, budgeting, and reporting throughout complex project cycles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and evaluate project costs, budgets, forecasts, and overall financial performance
• Handle multicurrency project accounting and maintain accuracy in cost allocations
• Compile project financial statements, variance reports, and cash-flow forecasts
• Provide project managers with financial insights to support cost-effectiveness
• Uphold internal controls, company policies, and financial governance standards
• Identify financial risks across various projects and propose corrective measures
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive financial efficiency across operations

• BCom plus completed CIMA qualification
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project accounting, cost control, or financial project environments
• Strong background in multicurrency and project-focused financial systems
• Highly analytical, detail-driven, and comfortable working in a high-responsibility setting
• Prior experience in manufacturing, construction, or mining is essential
