Cost Accountant

SUMMARY:
An established manufacturing organisation is seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to support their finance function during a period of operational growth. This role requires a confident self‑starter with strong analytical ability, the capacity to lead when needed, and the agility to work in a fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong costing experience, advanced systems proficiency, and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across departments.

POSITION INFO:

Oversee costing processes, ensuring accurate analysis and reporting
Support production, finance and operational teams with cost insights and variance analysis
Maintain costing systems and ensure integrity of data across all platforms
Provide input for budgeting, forecasting and strategic decision‑making
Contribute to process improvements and efficiencies within the costing environment

Skills & Experience:
Advanced Excel and proficiency in relevant accounting systems (SAGE advantageous)
Strong costing experience within a manufacturing environment
Confident communicator with leadership capability and strong interpersonal skills
Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
Highly detail‑oriented with strong analytical problem‑solving skills
Completed CIMA, or in the final stages of completion
Solid costing experience in a manufacturing environment

Qualification:
Degree in Cost/Management Accounting or B. Com Accounting
