Cost Accountant – Ga-Rankuwa

Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their team.

Non-Negotiables:

Relevant Cost Accounting qualification.
2+ years’ Cost Accounting experience.
BOM experience.
Manufacturing experience.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements: Relevant cost accounting qualification. BOM experience. Manufacturing experience. Full cost accounting function. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze cost reports for budgeting and financial planning. Conduct variance analysis (material, labor, overhead) and explain cost movements. Report on breakeven points, margins, and periodic variances. Analyze profitability and cost structures for new projects and product lines. Maintain and update standard costs for products and services. Validate cost of goods sold during month-end close. Perform cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis. Reconcile inventory balances and support stock valuation. Coordinate physical inventory counts and investigate variances. Review purchase orders, pricing accuracy, supplier compliance, and landed cost calculations. Monitor slow-moving or obsolete stock and ensure accurate valuation. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost forecasts. Support budgeting processes for cost elements and production plans. Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal controls.
