Cost Accountant

SUMMARY:

A fast-growing FMCG beverage manufacturer is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to execute all cost accounting functions as part of the full manufacturing process, working closely with management to determine opportunities for the business to maximise profit and minimise waste.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a tertiary qualification in Management Accounting.
• CIMA would be advantageous
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Management Accounting will be required
• Experience in Navision will be of great advantage
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Previous experience in the FMCG environment and team leadership experience are important

• Ensuring the cost accounting function is well executed and that the manufacturing process is accurately represented on the Income Statement.
• Involved in all facets of the manufacturing process from receiving of raw materials until the transfer of finished goods to the warehouse.
• Ensuring effective stock management and controls are maintained to ensure stock is live on the ERP system.
• Performing daily manufacturing costs analysis with detailed variance reconciliations.
• Conducting monthly expense variance analysis with more focus placed on variable manufacturing costs.
• Ensuring management reports are accurate and distributed on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Executing month end in line with communicated deadlines i.e. finalization of Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
• Performing financial forecasting and budgeting.
