Cost Accountant

SUMMARY:
Cost Accountant from a Manufacturing or FMCG background.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

Process accounting and financial documentation to enable reporting and costing, which are aligned with company procedures and processes.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Degree in Finance / Management Accounting or related fields
• Honours Degree or CIMA. (Advantageous)
• A minimum of five years finance experience
• 3 years experience costing in a factory environment
• Manufacturing or FMCG industry experience
• SAP

Duties:

• Prepare daily production scrap reports & attend daily scrap meeting
• Compile monthly lead balancing inclusive of scrap
• Review and report monthly on stock count completeness across all sites in the company
• Stock Control
• Coordinate and assist Planning with factory stock counts
• Investigate stock variances and resolve issues
• Cost and Financial Control
• Contribute to the budget preparation process for Manufacturing
• Explores opportunities to control and reduce costs
• Process Improvement
• Build solid relationships both internal and external (clients and customers)
• Commercial acumen
