JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the Automotive sector, based in Coega, seeks to employ a Cost Accountant to join their Finance department.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

Developing and implementing cost standards for BOM materials and labor.
Monitoring unit cost variance.
Implementing cost accounting systems.
Analysing production costs and recommending changes.
Analysing manufacturing operations, equipment availability and utilisation.
Performing month-end cost accounting close.
Maintaining financial and cost accounting system and ledger.
Reconciling beginning raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods stock.
Performing lifecycle cost-benefit analysis.
Preparing cost of goods sold and production reports.
Perform annual physical inventory.
Analysing inventory valuations.
Prepare financial management report.
Participate in the development, documentation and implementation of standard work processes.
Maintain and ensure data accuracy in the ERP system through proper item setup, manufacturing accounting review and issue resolution.
Training and supervising cost and inventory accounting staff.
Supervision of bookkeeper.
Creditors and debtors function.
Manage intercompany transactions.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Cost and Management Accounting
At least 5 years' experience as a Cost Accountant/in a similar role
Deep knowledge of standard costing and other cost modelling
SAP
