JOB SUMMARY:
Multi-national manufacturing concern based in Sandton/East, has an opening immediately available for a Cost Accountant. Report directly to the Financial Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Completed B.Com (Accounting / Cost Accounting) essential, coupled with 5-10 years related Cost Accounting experience within a manufacturing concern. Completed articles highly advantageous. KPI's include: Product costing (manufacturing) including overhead and labour cost calculations; maintain and analyze existing product costing; Engineering Projects - product costing, cost allocations, analysis of planned vs actual, monthly reports to management; Renewable Energy Projects - product costing; cost allocations, analysis of planned vs actual; monthly reports to management; BOM's - assist ops with the preparation of BOM's; ensure costing elements are correct; sign-off DL and manufacturing overhead costs per product; custodian of BOM information in line with SOX requirements; Factory Expense Analysis and Verification - analysis of the labour / direct labour / overheads; root cause analysis with Production Manager to determine errors in BOM's; review and sign off GL allocations on new product creation; monthly submission of operating stats to Global & Management; fixed asset maintenance; maintenance of WIP accounts; assist DFO with CER calculations; custodian of Fixed Assets in the production facility; process expense split / NRV calculations (annual and quarterly reporting); full financial assistance and verification of business stock accounts; and various adhoc functions as requested by Senior Management. Experience on SAGE X3 and MSOffice ideal as well as Energy and Renewable Energy experience advantageous.
