JOB DESCRIPTION:

An international mining giant is looking for a well-versed, detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join their team in Sandton. This role will require travel into Africa at short notice, but security is guaranteed. This is a listed concern offering job security and respect for its employees. The role will include duties such as:

Produce monthly cost reports
Financial reports
Budgeting and cost forecasting
Review actual costs and provide variance analysis
Support Budget Holders to address unacceptable cost variances
Provide individual cost estimates and analysis
Pre-approval and cost control of project commitment
Forecasts and cash flow analysis
Cost reports and updates on financial position
Reconcile data to support complete accuracy and create a clean audit trail

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications & Experience

Accounting or Cost Engineering qualification
5 or more years’ experience in mining or manufacturing
