Cost Control Specialist

SUMMARY:
This successful, global manufacturing concern currently seeks a Cost Control Specialist. Bring your strong costing experience and innovative, solution orientated approach and support the Plant Manager and CEO with financial information that is relevant, accurate and of a high quality. The long term prospects are to broaden the focus across other plants in RSA.

POSITION INFO:

Job Purpose:

• Provide in-depth commercial insight, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and cash flows within the company.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• CIMA / B.Com / B.Compt Finance / Accounting Honours.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience role within a large manufacturing concern, using standard costing to ensure optimisation of margins, profitability and cash flows.
• Proven leadership competencies in leading a Costing team.

Responsibilities / KPA''s:

• Analyse and interpret financial information and produce accurate, relevant reports, which will support business strategy.
• Apply strategic decision-making.
• Ensure sound and effective financial management, control and reporting processes and systems and recommend operational and strategic actions.
• Utilise your strong business knowledge and analysis to challenge operational and strategic Management decisions, based on experience.
• Develop financial operational plans aligned to strategic objectives.
• Review, analyse, interpret and present financial data.
• Responsible for all budgets and forecasts.
• Manage, develop and review standard operating procedures.
• Initiate and drive continuous improvement.
• Build solid working relationships across departments, and across the various South African business operations.
• Effectively manage the Plant Controlling team.
