Role Overview
The Cost Controller will oversee cost management activities to support financial performance, ensure compliance, and contribute to strategic decision-making. This includes analysing actual costs vs budgets, reporting variances, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and collaborating with procurement, operations, and finance.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and analyse actual costs against budgets and forecasts
Track and report cost variances, providing clear financial insights
Assist with budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with department heads
Implement and maintain cost control processes and reports
Support process optimisation and cost-reduction initiatives
Ensure accurate financial documentation and audit trails
Align with teams on cost objectives and controls
Provide guidance on cost control systems and tools
Uphold all QHSE and compliance standards

Requirements

Matric (essential)
Road transport or related qualification (advantageous)
3–5 years of experience in a cost control role within cross-border logistics
Solid understanding of transport and logistics (local and cross-border)
Computer literate with strong reporting skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
