SUMMARY:
A well renowned entity in the media and entertainment industry is currently in the market for a Cost and Management Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ascertainment of cost, fixation of selling price, proper recording, and presentation of cost data to management for measuring efficiency and for cost control, cost reduction and ascertaining the profit of each activity.

POSITION INFO:

A well renowned entity in the media and entertainment industry is currently in the market for a Cost and Management Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ascertainment of cost, fixation of selling price, proper recording, and presentation of cost data to management for measuring efficiency and for cost control, cost reduction and ascertaining the profit of each activity.

Qualifications and Experience:

BCOM or CIMA
4 – 6 years’ experience
Media and entertainment industry (beneficial)
Standard costing experience (essential)

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and present monthly income statements for departments performance report focusing on actual vs prior year, budgets, and necessary analysis
Prepare and present the ROI reports on schedules monthly
Prepare profit by project monthly
Analyse each project performance monthly and identify areas of concern
Analyse operational costs monthly
Identify possible opportunities for gross margin improvement and implement before year-end
Prepare a report tracking expenses
Assist to ensure CAPEX upgrades are completely successful
Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and reconcile the general ledger to the FAR monthly.
