SUMMARY:
A progressive manufacturing entity based in Johannesburg East is currently in the market for a Cost and Management Accountant. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in the manufacturing industry.

POSITION INFO:

A progressive manufacturing entity based in Johannesburg East is currently in the market for a Cost and Management Accountant. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in the manufacturing industry.

Qualifications and Experience:

• BCOM
• 3 – 5 years’ experience
• Manufacturing industry experience (essential)
• CIMA – Strategic Level (essential)
• Excel advanced
• Activity Based Costing, Standard Costing experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the preparation of Management Accounts
• Responsible for the provision of an analytical and advisory function to line management
• Activity Based Costing, Standard Based Costing, Cost control, analysis (margin/ costs/productivity)
• Responsible for the implementation of financial analysis control and reporting process
• Prepares, examines and analyses accounting records relating to manufacturing including inventory, to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
• Develops, maintains, and analyses budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs relating to manufacturing
• Provides assistance to manufacturing relating to unresolved queries
• Prepares and processes cost of sales and revenue transactions
• Responsible for reconciliation of relevant accounts to the General ledger
• Fixed Assets management
• Ensures reconciliation of the fixed asset register to general ledger
• Staff management
• WIP monitoring and analysis
• Accurate costing model to determine recommended price list
