SUMMARY:
Leading fmcg company based in Gabarone is recruiting a Country Manager responsible for the general management of the Botswana region. Scope of responsibilities include: production, sales and marketing, planning and forecasting and route-to-market strategies. Full expat benefits applicable

POSITION INFO:

Full P&L accountability for the business and channels.
In this role you are fully accountable for leading the company while constantly ensuring the optimal route to market by bringing in best practice.
Critical to the success of this role includes a high focus on growing, nurturing and developing talent within the commercial business.
Ensure increased market share, profitability margins and revenue growth.
Exco member
EBITDA growth through revenue growth management principles.
Manage the income statement of the business specifically revenue and gross profit.
Understands the impact of production KPIs on financial KPIs
Minimizes operational wastage by efficient use of resources
Analyses costs and ensures all costs are within agreed budget and takes corrective action when necessary
Drives the budget and business plan process with all leaders
Effectively manages key 3^rd party relationships in line with the contract to maximize margin
Continually analyses the commercial business model looking for areas of improvement
Manage and control the Product, Channel and Price Architecture for the company.
Work closely with production teams to ensure accurate forecasting.

Requirements

Relevant tertiary / post graduate qualification
20+ Yrs commercial experience in an FMCG environment
Understanding the income statement and driving the profit number
Team Leadership: Strong team leadership experience with a diverse level of capability and experience
Work Environment: Working in a structured and metric based environment
