SUMMARY:
Opportunity to open a new operation - start in CPT & move to Kenya. We require a young tenacious Executive with outgoing adventurous & entrepreneurial spirit & marketing personality. You will need to network with organisations, the community in Kenya, finding premises, building a team to launch company products & operations. Become a Board Member trained, backed by Directors/Shareholders.

REQUIREMENTS

Matric, relevant tertiary qualifications

Ability to start working in Cape Town and then move to Kenya to run the new organisation

The role is largely focused on marketing, setting up operations and people management

Excellent finance acumen

Understanding of information technology and data analytics

Outgoing personality

Resilient, tenacious, independent worker

Ability to open a new business, explore opportunities and take control of a new venture while engaging with communities, clients & local government

DUTIES

 Business establishment:

  • Initial market research and business plan compilation and driving  pre-launch phase of establishing the Kenya office including business registration, licensing, office establishment & staff recruitment.
  • Amending Unifi business templates in line with local laws, customs and regulations.

People management:

  • Recruiting and selecting local team.
  • Ongoing staff management, monitoring, and training.
  • Responsible for the performance of the staff contingent.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Operations & marketing:

  • Rolling out branches.
  • Driving client acquisition through sales and marketing.
  • Establishing and managing collections capabilities.
  • Actively managing day-to-day operations while the executive team is being
  • established.
  • Liaising with the South African IT and analytics teams to coordinate the rollout of the
  • product locally.
  • Regulatory compliance though interactions with various authorities.
  • Develop strong brand in country.

Financial:

  • Overseeing, and actively involved in functions undertaken by local accounting

Team

-       for operational finance, including cash management, expense approvals and

procurement.

-       accounting, including weekly reconciliations, monthly bookkeeping, and

annual budgeting and audits.

-      Controlling business costs.

Strategic & Commercial:

  • Serve as member of Executive Team and assist in ongoing evolution of company strategy for both Kenya and the Group.
  • Meet profit objectives by managing staff and establishing and meeting business objectives
  • Build the company brand and image by collaborating with clients, local government, community and employees
  • Serve as board member of the Kenya branch.
