JOB SUMMARY:
Our client operates within the design and manufacturing sphere where they create brand visibility solutions for their clients in the retail environment. Their team consists of enthusiastic and creative individuals with a flair for design. They are seeking Craftsmen / Artisans to join them and who will assist in making their visions come to life.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Perform skilled fabrication work in the construction, forming, framing, and finishing of products
Construct, install, maintain, and repair products as required
Effectively and safely operate a variety of tools and equipment used in the skilled carpentry and fabrication trade
Interpret technical drawings, specifications, sketches, and work orders
Analyse situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action
Practice good housekeeping to ensure a safe and uncluttered workplace
Participate in and demonstrate an understanding of safety principles and practices; follow all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment
Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements
Always adhere to the Design and Technical specifications
Be able to produce a variety of items from start to finish, e.g., furniture, displays units, point-of-sale solutions
Work with various materials in the construction process, such as wood, acrylic, resin, metal, and apply the appropriate finishes.

Experience & Qualifications:

Any carpentry, cabinetry, joinery, CNC machining, printing, electrical courses / certification, or working towards, would be an asset
3+ yearsâ experience in related field
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Ability to problem-solve to achieve design intent
Ability to work within a team or independently as needed
Good communication skills
Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Willing to work evenings, on call and weekends when requested
Periodic travel may be required
Ability to perform physical labour daily (long hours of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling & frequent lifting of materials)
