SUMMARY:
My client is looking for a dataâdriven problem solver who loves building models that actually change how a business performs.
This role sits at the intersection of analytics, technology, and realâworld impact.
If you enjoy ownership, autonomy, and turning data into decisions, this will feel like a dream job.
POSITION INFO:
My client is a fastâgrowing, techâled business operating at scale across multiple African markets. They are hiring a Credit & Pricing Analyst to own and evolve the analytical engine behind pricing, credit risk, and profitability.
This is not a passive reporting role. You’ll design, build, test, and improve models that directly influence revenue, risk, and customer outcomes. You’ll work closely with commercial and operational teams, seeing your work move from code to realâworld impact.
What you’ll be doing:
Build, refine, and own pricing and credit models that drive sustainable profitability
Model P&L impact of pricing, credit policy, and commission changes
Forecast credit performance metrics such as repayment rates and portfolio losses
Analyse behavioural and customer data to improve automated credit scoring and risk segmentation
Prototype new dataâdriven ideas to unlock commercial and customer value
Translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations
Take ownership beyond the spreadsheet, your work will shape real business decisions
This role will appeal to someone who enjoys IT jobs, information technology jobs, and jobs in IT where analytical thinking, coding, and commercial impact come together, similar to modern developer jobs within dataâcentric teams.
Skills & Experience:
Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation
Advanced Python or R for analysis, modelling, and visualisation
Experience building credit scorecards, pricing models, or financial forecasts
Comfortable working with large datasets and imperfect realâworld data
Exposure to dashboarding tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) is advantageous
Commercial mindset — you care about outcomes, not just elegant models
Able to explain complex ideas to nonâtechnical stakeholders
Qualification:
Bachelor’s or Honours degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
Minimum 2–5 years’ relevant experience in credit risk, pricing, analytics, or dataâfocused roles
