SUMMARY:
Our client based in Johannesburg North in the finance industry is looking for a Credit Analyst to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Relevant Degree/Qualifications in Credit Risk management
Accounting diploma / certificate (an advantage)
Minimum 5 years credit experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Good understanding of credit lending principles
Understanding of AI

Key responsibilities:

Analyse and assess the credit data submitted to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit and whether the credit should be approved
In consultation with the Credit Manager, develop and update credit policies
and procedures and ensure compliance at all times
Assist in the resolution of escalated queries
Escalate any transaction outside of mandate to Credit Manager
Ensure ongoing liaison and feedback to the sales team and client to provide feedback on credit submissions
Analyse financial and non-financial information for corporate and public sector clients
Ensure regular interactions and meetings with relevant internal stakeholders (i.e. Sales team, Business Managers, Funders. etc)
