JOB SUMMARY:
Our large fashion retail client, with their head office in Cape Town CBD, is seeking to employ a suitably qualified Credit Analyst to join their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ad hoc analyses; feature engineering, data preparation, development of statistical models, strategy development; monitoring and tracking.

Qualification/s:

Minimum requirement of a BCom / BBusSci / BSc Actuarial Science / BCom Investments or similar qualification

Experience / Knowledge:

Experience in building, implementing and using statistical models
Experience conceptualizing, coding and implementing feature engineering
Experience working with large datasets and preparing data
SAS Base / Enterprise Guide programming experience
Experienced Microsoft Office user
SAS Enterprise Miner programming experience advantageous
Experience with bureau data beneficial
Experience using Python and Hadoop advantageous

Competencies - Excellent analytical and numeric skills

High attention to detail driving a need for 100% accuracy
Able to manage effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced, error-free environment
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills required
Ability to extract, validate, clean and prepare data for modelling and reporting
Ability to prepare well-structured, clear and concise deliverables, including presentations
Strong collaborative interpersonal skills – both with internal and external parties
High level of integrity and confidentiality
