JOB DESCRIPTION:

Investment team seek an experienced Credit Analyst to join their team. Great opportunity to work across both unlisted and listed investments. Ideal candidates will be CA(SA) or CFA qualified with no less than 5 years' experience in the investment banking credit space, with a strong preference to candidates with property (REIT) experience in corporate or structure credit space. This credit team offers risk management capabilities to the broader credit team. Well established and top team! Role reports to the Head of Credit.

Responsibilities:

Presentation and preparation of credit proposals and investment proposals
Evaluation of counterparty and sectors, as well as instrument pricing, legal analysis and instrument structuring
Quantitative and qualitative risk rating of instruments and counterparties
Monitoring of sector and counterparty developments
Negotiations and review of legal documents as required for transactions
Development of the credit market understanding and investment opportunities
Monitor the portfolio of debt investments

Requirements:

Minimum of CA(SA) or CFA qualified
Minimum of 4-6 years' credit risk experience in the investment banking or asset management space
Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and professionalism
Highly analytical, with strong business acumen and high attention to detail
Excellent understanding of the structured credit investment and legal agreements
Strong knowledge of credit and fixed income
Self-motivated, professional, dynamic and passionately results driven
