Our client is looking for a Credit Control Manager to lead their national credit function and team.

POSITION INFO:

Our client is looking for a Credit Control Manager to lead their national credit function and team. The role involves overseeing all aspects of credit control, from strategy and policy development to team leadership, stakeholder management, and compliance.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement credit control strategies and policies
Analyse client creditworthiness and determine credit limits and payment terms
Lead and manage the debtors team, ensuring timely debt collection
Review and report on aged debtors, collections, reconciliations, and write-offs
Manage bad debt provisioning, invoicing, client statements, and credit notes
Maintain compliance with labour laws and credit control regulations
Lead performance management, staff development, and succession planning
Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders
Monitor and manage high-risk accounts and client relationships
Generate regular operational and management reports
Drive transformation and B-BBEE initiatives within the department

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Effective time management and planning
Leadership and change management capabilities
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
Excellent communication (written and verbal)
Proficient in MS Office; systems and project management orientated
Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Minimum 5 years' experience in Credit Control Management
Proven leadership experience managing a team of 8+ staff
Experience in a multi-skilled, service-driven industry environment
Valid driver's license and own vehicle

Qualifications

National Diploma or Degree in Financial Accounting or related field
