My client is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys problem-solving, and excels in managing customer accounts with professionalism and confidence.

As the Credit Controller, you will play a key role in optimizing the credit control process, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining positive relationships with customers. You will be responsible for reconciling accounts, allocating receipts, managing the accounts receivable ledger, and applying credit policies effectively.

You will work closely with the Financial Manager and collaborate with internal stakeholders, customers, auditors, banks, and finance partners. This is a skilled-level role that requires strong technical knowledge, accuracy, and a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities:
Debt Collection & Accounts Management

• Manage and monitor the accounts receivable ledger.
• Collect outstanding debts in line with forecasts.
• Follow up on overdue payments and escalate unresolved issues when necessary.
• Perform reconciliations and process discounts allowed.
• Propose and obtain approval for irrecoverable debt write-offs.

• Assess new and existing customers’ creditworthiness.
• Review credit applications and financial statements.
• Recommend and adjust credit limits in line with credit policies.

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Address billing discrepancies and respond to enquiries promptly.
• Send monthly statements, remittance advices, and payment schedules.

• Maintain accurate records of payment activities and customer accounts.
• Prepare ageing analysis and provide regular updates to management.
• Organize and file all accounts receivable documentation, including foreign receipt submissions.

• Collaborate with the finance team to forecast cash flow.
• Implement strategies to reduce aged debt and improve collection performance.
• Allocate daily customer receipts and monitor DSO.

• Ensure adherence to credit policies, company procedures, and health and safety standards.
• Open new customer accounts and perform duties delegated by senior management.
