The Role:

RTT invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Credit Controller position based in Johannesburg (Jet Park Office). The role is responsible for credit management of an allocated number of clients which includes billing, collection and relationship building and the management of the credit control team

3 â?? 4 yearsâ?? experience in a credit environment
Statistical skills

Risk Management skills
Reporting writing skills
Problem-solving ability
Negotiation skills

Key Accountabilities:

Ensure that Credit control policies and procedures are applied to minimise bad debts
Ensure that the Overdue Accounts report is compiled after month end and e-mailed to the Key Accounts Managers for assistance with problematic accounts
Ensure 60 90 day reports are updated on a weekly basis and forwarded to the Credit Manager
Must be able to perform reconciliations accurately and in the correct ageing
Monitor credit limits on a Daily Basis
Interact with clients to obtain additional credit information to support credit lines
Reconcile transactions and balances to maintain accurate accounts
Initiate credits and adjustments to client accounts within RTTâ??s policy limits
Must Be Able to solve Customer queries Timeously
Manage relationships with the clients in order to reduce exposure to potential bad debt
Monitor violations of credit policies, provide analysis, conclusion and recommendations, present findings to senior management and suggest actions/penalties to be taken when appropriate
Prepare cash forecasts including customer collections
Check Billing against Rates Card to Ensure Accurate Invoicing
Must be Able to Prepare Credit Requisitions and Discount Requisitions

Readily and willing to assist fellow team members where needed

Qualifications:

Grade 12
Studying toward a BCom or similar
