SUMMARY:
A well-known and established International Chemical company specializing within the Personal Care and Industrial Manufacturing industries requires the above to be responsible for the full credit function.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Credit Management Diploma or a related Credit or Financial qual is pref.
Previous experience having worked in a Credit Control role ideally within the chemical or related manufacturing industries is essential.
The successful candidate must be very accurate, fast paced and deadline driven.
Previous experience having worked on SAP or a related ERP system is essential.
Must have good communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with customers.
Must be strong on Excel - having worked with pivot tables and V Look ups etc.
Must have strong reconciliations experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Handle and manage all Trade and Credit applications (limit increase or new accounts): compile, conduct risk assessments review on various online credit bureaus.
Liaise with customers and Senior Management regarding T&C’s issues etc and obtaining final approval.
Handle and finalize limit increase requests until successfully finalized.
Opening of SAP, CBD accounts and Master data.
Compile and capture journals.
Deal with and assist with the completion of customers vendor forms and supporting document requests.
Successfully collect outstanding monies within due dates, maximizing profit and minimizing write offs.
Present overdue reports to Senior Management.
Present daily and or weekly overdue reports to be submitted with relevant comments to the Sales and Management team.
Reconcile GL and submit to Senior Management.
Manage incoming foreign payments online.
Update all processed credit notes.
Supply and obtain trade references from companies upon request.
Compile creditors recon for review and approval in Lieu of debtor’s payment refund.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
