Credit Dealmaker

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a commercially minded Credit Dealmaker to join their team. This role focuses on assessing funding opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses, conducting detailed financial analysis, and structuring lending solutions that support sustainable growth.
 
The successful candidate will evaluate credit applications, perform due diligence, build financial models, and prepare investment papers for credit committee approval. This position is ideal for a highly analytical professional with a passion for lending, strong financial acumen, and the ability to assess businesses across a variety of industries.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:
Ensuring that credit policies, criteria, procedures, and documentation relating to credit are generated and adhered to Assessing the credit worthiness of empowerment enterprises specifically with a responsible lending mindset
Ability to sense check and suggest amendments to a deal structure according to specific position of the enterprise
Prepare all documentation and analysis, including financial forecast models and Investment memorandums, to present to and facilitate decisions of the Credit/Investment Committee
Determine and ensure that company operations meet conditions for the provisions, and special loan conditions for clients
Prepare and conclude loan and security agreements and other ancillary documentation
Monitor loan agreements compliance through time and if need be, liaise with the borrower to ensure that no clauses on the agreement are breached
Monitoring credit exposure
Liaising with other staff within the company making specific reference to the Credit Team on matters relating to existing and new loans and with other members of the team to assist with matters that indirectly affect the credit team and the company’s borrowers
Assess credit applications and gather required financial and non-financial information for due diligence
Conduct financial statement, ratio, and financial model analysis to evaluate funding opportunities
Understand lending environments, particularly secured lending to small private businesses
Prepare detailed reports with clear findings and recommendations for management and the Investment Committee
Ensure compliance with legal requirements when approving or declining credit applications
Manage multiple assessments and deliver work accurately within deadlines
Engage professionally with clients, management, and third parties
Contribute to improving lending processes and deal execution
Work independently while collaborating closely with the credit team

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3+ Years' experience in a similar role
Credit & Risk Experience
Able to work well within a team
Able to deal with relevant client queries and able to assess companies across various industries
Passion for lending/ markets

Qualification:
Degree in Finance or Accounting
